A Lot To Take In

We’ve just found out about 2 great grandchildren we didn’t know about.

Our eldest son & girlfriend had a daughter in 1994, but they split up & there has been no contact since she was 9 years old. We saw her last when she was 6, as they live in Saskatchewan. Son had no contact either.

Last month, that granddaughter, now 25, found our youngest son on flakebook & contacted him, as well as our daughter. In turn he gave her my email, & we’ve been getting to know each other a little with messages ever since. She looked for us on fakebook too, but we’re not on there.

She is married & has a little girl, 5, & little boy, 3.

Being in our 70’s now, we did wonder if there’d be any contact, or at least finding out something about her.

We have 6 grandkids, 5 of them girls, & 4 are our daughter’s girls, as well as the one boy.

That same week, our eldest married granddaughter announced she is pregnant with her second, so suddenly we have the 4th great grandkid on the way after knowing about only the one, who is just a year old.

A lot to take in, within the same week.

    1. Yes, slowly, & I’ll leave it to her for the topics. I don’t want to raise any bad memories, by bringing up anything she doesn’t wish to talk about, including her father, & she has already told my youngest son she wants no contact. I know what my eldest son is like, so I will not mention him unless she does. He is not online at all, so its not going to get out that way.

  1. This is fascinating Pat. Sorry I am reading this so late, however now I am more settled after a crazy couple of years I am actually finding time to sit down and read. This must have been a shock to you!

I am hoping everything is well and you have had lots more conversation over recent months with them ๐Ÿ™‚
